Daily Tutorial - Day 8 - New shades of blue
Blue is one of my favourite colours. I chose it to be the main colour in the background of this drawing because it will help the eyes to focus on the leaves, flowers and branches.
Blue is a cool colour which helps warmer colours to appear closer to the viewer.
I want this drawing to look like you can touch the leaves, flowers and branches. Playing with cooler and warmer tones and light and dark will help to achieve that goal.

I am loving this video series - quite addicting! I love the approach you take to your colouring and I am learning so much - I could watch these forever! The only hard part is having to wait 24 hours for the next one :)
ReplyDeleteHallo, bedankt voor je tutorials. Hier heb ik echt wat aan! Toen je sprak over de allerlichtste roze, vroeg ik me af welke kleur de lichtste is bij jou. Ik heb in mijn set nog de Light Magenta 9201-119.
