Johanna Basford sent me a set of 24 Staedtler Ergosoft pencils! They came together with her latest book, Ivy and the Inky Butterlfy.
At first glance, the Staedtler Ergosoft pencils seem to be of good quality.
They are triangular, which make them unique. They also have a soft coating, which prevent your fingers from slipping.
My first impression is that these pencils were initially designed for children and usage in class rooms. However, they can be of great value to adults as well.
Ergosoft pencils are less expensive than the 'professional' pencils, such as Faber Castell Polychromos, Derwent Coloursoft and Procolour, Caran d'Ache Luminance and Pablo, etc.
I don't think the Ergosoft pencils can compete with the professional brands, though. But time will tell because I need a need more time to test them.
